We’ve got off to a very snowy start this term.
The die hards in the Tunbridge Wells group battled the weather conditions and we basically laughed for three hours! A brilliant workshop I thought. Then the group held a meeting to discuss their charity gig which will be at King Charles The Martyr Hall on Valentine’s Day. Details will follow, so keep an eye on this website.
On the 27th of this month our postponed trip to WARHORSE will take place, and later in the year Matt Burgess (who plays the heart of Joey) will be giving us a workshop.
The term starts in earnest this coming Sunday (17th) with an in depth look at Old Time Music Hall. Both Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells will be presenting their own on Mothers’ Day, which is March 14th.
The end of the term will see us looking at Shakespeare (in preperation for the summer performances) and audition technique for the camera. It’s a lot to pack in... but I know it’ll be a respite from all those exams and maybe even a bit educational as well.
The work last term from both groups was ground breaking for such a young group of people. We’ve sadly had to kiss some students ‘good bye’ as they are off to Uni and travelling, but it leaves us free to welcome the newcomers. This is the best term of the year to introduce new people, so feel free to bring your friends along for ‘taster’ sessions.
